Dear Colleagues,

Apologies for the cross posting.

I wanted to draw your attention to the 1st Environmental Hazards in Asia conference taking place in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia on 12th to 15th August 2024, and with a short post conference fieldtrip. The conference will bring together scientists from disciplines from the physical and social sciences, governments, and NGOs. The conference aims to explore the underlaying physical mechanics of hazards, the impact of past events across Asia and discuss approaches to minimise future impacts. The aim is to facilitate new ideas and collaborations.

All would be welcome to join and we hope that you will also share with colleagues, especially across Asia. Thanks to a contribution from the Association of Academies and Societies of Sciences in Asia, we have funds to support travel for 20 participants from AASSA member states.
